The Rolling Spaw's Policies.
Cancellations:
If you are not unable to keep your appointment, The Rolling Spaw requires 48 hour notice prior to appointment time so that we may fill your spot. A message left on our voice mail is fine. Failure to provide 48 hours notice of cancellation or failure to provide access to the pet (such as forgetting to leave a key available for the groomer to access the pet) at your scheduled time will result in a fee of $40 for each scheduled pet which must be paid in full prior to your next appointment.
Payment Policy:
All grooming fees must be paid in full at the time of the service. We accept cash, checks and credit cards. Checks returned due to insufficient funds will be charged a $30 service fee.
Shave down/Matted Hair Removal:
Removing heavily matted fur includes risks of nicks, cuts or abrasions due to warts, moles or skin trapped in the mats. Matting can also trap moisture near the skin allowing bacteria to grow causing skin irritations that exist before the grooming process. Effects of mat removal can include itchiness, skin redness and irritation, abrasions and some cases, failure of hair to re-grow as originally. Shaved pets are also extremely sensitive to the sun and can sunburn easily. Pets who must have their coats shaved very short should be kept out of the sun for long periods of time until their hair can re-grow and provide protection from the sun.
While we will take every precaution to insure your pets safety & comfort, The Rolling Spaw is not responsible for any adverse reaction as a result of mat removal and/or shave downs.
If your pet is matted your options are: 1: To brush the matted coat out and reschedule the grooming when the coat is mat free. A $30 service must be paid at this time because fuel was expended to come to your home. 2: To agree to the shave down having read the shave down policy.
Emergency Care:
Your pets comfort and safety are our first priorities. We make every effort to ensure that your pets grooming is pleasant and safe, however, if your pet becomes ill or hurt and the services of an veterinarian are required, you hereby give The Rollin Spaw permission to obtain medical treatment for your dog if you are not available to do so and you agree to pay all veterinary expenses.
Fleas/Ticks:
Any dog that has fleas and/or ticks must receive a flea and tick shampoo. There is an additional charge for the flea and tick shampoo.
Safety:
Safety comes first for everyone in the grooming process- both human and pets. You must inform us prior to grooming if your pet has bitten someone or has aggressive tendencies. Owners will be held liable for any bites or property damage caused by their pet. We will stop the grooming process if we feel that the pets behavior is compromising his safety or ours. Prorated charges will apply.
Senior Pets and Pets with Health Problems:
Grooming procedures can sometimes be stressful, especially to a senior pet or a pet with a health condition. Grooming can expose hidden medical conditions or aggravate existing ones. Because these pets have a greater chance of injury, they will be groomed for cleanliness and comfort, in styles that will not add to their stress. The Rolling Spaw will not be held responsible for any injury sustained during the grooming process of an elderly or health compromised pet.
Inclement Weather/Equipment Failure:
In the event of a severe weather event, The Rolling Spaw will contact you regarding your appointment and possible rescheduling. Occasionally we may also experience mechanical problems with our mobile unit and in those cases we will also contact you to re-schedule your appointment.
