Our Furry Friends
How to get the best results:
Every dog owner has different needs and expectations about grooming. The following are three suggestions to help you work with our groomer to get the best results for your pet.
1. Be specific about your expectations . . .We can't read your mind so it's important to be specific. "Short, but not too short" or "leave it longer" are difficult instructions to follow. Does short mean two inches of hair or half-inch? If you have something specific in mind, please tell us. Pictures of what you like or don't like always help…it gives us a better understanding of how you want your pet to look.
2. Be realistic about the condition of your pet's coat . . .Do you brush your pet regularly at home, or is his coat badly matted or tangled? Even a skilled groomer can't save a matted coat. Sometimes there is no choice but to shave the mats and wait for the fur to grow back before trying that new style. Be sure to brush regularly as the coat grows back so the tangles don't return.
3. Be honest about the results . . .We want you to be happy! If you don't like the results, tell us BEFORE we leave. Discuss what you would like done differently next time. We keep notes on each pet about what was done during the visit. If you are honest with the groomer about what you like or don't like, your comments can be added to the file. That way, the next time we see your dog, we will have a better idea of what you want.
